2 Bedroom Apartment in De Pijp, Amsterdam
Hi! Welcome to my flat! :-) If you’re in Amsterdam for partying, don’t rent this place; the walls of this house are not thick enough to block party noice. I’ve got a very good relationship with my neighbour’s, which I’d very much like to keep 😉). The Pijp is now extremely populair, but was originally a poor neigbourhood and the buildings carry the noice (only when it's too loud). I’m very lucky living between neighbours who walk the stairs and close the doors very quiet after around 22:00. Music can be played, but not too loud and rather inside than on the balcony. Rather without a strong bass. Since I bouht this to live here (not as an investment), things are like a home, not like a hotel.
Important: I prefer longer stays, starting at the 1st of the month. These longer stays are only possible through a regular renting: the city of Amsterdam regulated renting out for tourism to a max of 30 days each year. Renting for a longer period of time can therefore unfortunately not be arranged through this platform completely, but being the platform where you found this property I’d always try to book as much days as possible through here. within the agreement (or comprise) between VRBO and house owners, you can (have to 😉) contact me over the phone. It’s against VRBO’s standard policy but this is a compromise because of these regulations. So we book a few days through VRBO and the remaining days through regular renting. This way it’s all done correctly by Dutch law. I use this call (prior to booking) also to explain how things work, for example; keys, payment and cleaning -every second Tuesday around 10:00, it can not be changed and needs to be payed cash (€50,-), etc. Prior contact is also to verify your identity, so please write me your full name in your message and where (what social network) I can look you up and verify you as a person.
NB! Note; the bed in the guest-room; is changeable from 80 to 160 cm’s; mattresses are thin (7 or 14 cm). It’s fine, but not great, a grown-up shouldn’t sleep on it for weeks. Note; cash for cleaning. Note; steep stairs to the apartment (see photo).
