Travel Purpose: business

Positive: Location was good in that it was about20 min walk to Cardiff bay and 25 min to city centre. However, the area house is in is quite run down with many bags of waste piled outside houses. Rooms large and kitchen and dining area feel smart and practical.

Negative: On arrival, hedge is so overgrown at front that you have to push past it to get to front door. By the front door and the wheelie bins were many many bags of stinking rubbish. Door has never been painted in many years and very shabby. In back yard were a number of used disposable bbqs and empty beer cans which we had to put in bin bag. Property gives impression that it has recently been put on holiday rental market without finishing off. Only lamp in large lounge had no bulbs meaning main light had to be used making room far less cosy. All 4 mattresses on beds very soft and probably cheap. A number of areas eg banister where paint very chipped and worn. Our bedroom had mirror placed at height only usable to those people over 7 ft, and no other place to put it. Noise of animals running around loft made it difficult to sleep in 2nd floor bedroom.

Summary: Mixed feelings about this house which has probably been rushed to holiday market, unfinished.
