The Barn is a former potato chitting barn, potatoes being a major crop in Lincolnshire. It was for some time used as a garage, before being converted into a cottage.
The original beams are retained, and double height in the lounge and bedrooms creates a feeling of spaciousness.
There is an enclosed lawned garden, with plenty of walks suitable for dogs from the property and in the local area.
The owners of The Barn have recently redecorated, added new carpets to both bedrooms, new beds, new lounge furniture, and a luxurious shower room.
Brigg has a selection of supermarkets and independent shops and eating places, as well
as a leisure centre and pool.
Five miles away is Hemswell Cliff, a former RAF base now home to the largest collection
of antique dealers in Europe. (oh which Johnny Depp has also visited). There are numerous historical RAF sites within the local area.

At Market Rasen there's horse racing and Willingham Woods, ideal for walking. Skydiving at Hibaldstow.
Lincoln offers interesting architecture, not just the cathedral, plus various shopping and eating places.

The nearest seaside, Cleethorpes, is about forty minutes drive away. It offers extensive promenade walks.
South of Cleethorpes are little unspoilt creeks and hidden beaches.
In October and November, at Donna Nook beach, seals come ashore to give birth to their pups.
