Please note: This property has low ceilings downstairs and so not ideally suited to those over 6" tall.. Nestling in a quiet backwater this charming stone cottage dating back to 1759 has been carefully refurbished retaining much of the original character including beamed ceilings and original exposed wood doors. The sitting room has a wood burning stove for cooler days and the centrally heated cottage is very comfortably furnished providing a restful retreat at any time. To the front and side there is a pretty cottage garden ideal for relaxing on warmer days and where the beck trickles past the gate it is truly a peaceful and tranquil location. A gentle stroll along the lane leads to the pub with further amenities in Leyburn just a 5 minute drive away. For outdoor enthusiasts there is an abundance of stunning walks in the immediate area, visit nearby Castle Bolton or enjoy the cascading waterfalls at Aysgarth with pretty riverside walks and picnic areas. The market town of Hawes famous for the Wensleydale Visitor Centre and the Georgian town of Richmond with its Norman Castle are just a short drive away.
