Beautiful grade 2 listed home in picture postcard village. Warm and welcoming home with antique furniture and quality furnishings.
Quiet village setting with good transport links, so ideal if you are arriving by train and want to give the car a break.
Mainland Europe, the Kentish Coast and London are within easy reach. The village is set amidst beautiful country side, the North Downs with plenty of sights to explore.
The lovely spacious lounge has a large inglenook fire place and plenty of day light streaming in thanks to a large window. Both the well sized bedrooms are full of character too and have a double bed each and a sofa ( the sofa in the back room can be turned into a sofa bed if required). The kitchen is full of olde wordle charm - yet fitting all the requirements for the modern age.
The bathroom has a sitting bath with overhead shower and all toiletries required. Bath robes are provided to really make this a “home away from home “experience.
Lastly, the walled enclosed garden at the back is a heaven of peace.
Continental Breakfast is available upon request. As the owner, I will personally check you in and am available to help you with any questions you may have!
The property is professionally cleaned.
Being very appreciative of the beautiful countryside around, I try to be as environmentally friendly as I can.
Things to note :
Must be able to climb an easy short staircase, as the accommodation is all on one level on the upper floor.
The garden to the back can be reached via the back gate, this is also where the laundry room is.

Situated on a prime location in Charing High Street, a beautiful quiet little village in the Downs on the Pilgrims Way. ( The very last stop en route to Canterbury)
There is a post office, a crafts gallery, two well stocked convenience stores, butcher/ bakers , two hair salons and a micro pub/ tearooms.
The Indian and Chinese provide excellent take way menus ( as well as eating in ) and on the outskirts of the village centre, there is a pub offering great food.
Getting around:
Charing has excellent transport links. From the property it is a a very short stroll to the station, with a direct line to London Victoria and one short stop away from Ashford International. Ashford is on the UK’s one and only high speed link, 37 min away from London St Pancras and less than 20 min away from
Ebbsfleet station. Canterbury West station is in easy reach too.
It is a quick and easy bus route to Ashford.
By road, you are only a few junctions away ( approx 25 min drive ) to the Eurotunnel and going the other direction, approx. 20 min to get to the M25 London ring road.
With many istoric sites on our doorstep, it is the perfect base for sightseeing. Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst Gardens, Rye, Chilham, Canterbury, Tenterden, and Faversham are all within easy reach. The North Downs ( Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) are all around us, great for walks , cycling or horse riding.
The beautiful Kentish coast is a drive or train journey away.
For shoppers, Ashford’s outlet centre has a lot to offer and for walkers and cyclists, there are many beautiful places to discover. You will want to come back for more.
