It has some of the best beaches in the whole of the UK including Pendower and Carne beach. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are close by. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a huge wealth of hidden coves and picturesque fishing villages. It has wonderful woodland and coastal walks alongside the world class sailing facilities of St Mawes and Mylor. Tregony has a wealth of history and was once a thriving port on the River Fal. It has a great public house with restaurant, a mini-market, post office, art gallery, hairdressers and a sports and social club and church. There’s a regular fresh fish delivery service, fish and chip van and wood fired pizza outlet in the village.
