Snowshill is located about 2 miles north of the historic market town of Alnwick.This is a superb area in which to base your holiday as the surrounding countryside is wonderful. With the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west or to the east, the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage coastline, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just two miles away is the historic market town of Alnwick with its castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts), and is a popular visitor attraction. Take time to visit Alnwick Gardens, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, which includes a grand cascade waterfall and poison garden, as well as a restaurant set in the largest tree house in Europe!
