The owners have taken inspiration from historic Winchester itself as well as incorporating a fresh English feel. Copper gas lanterns, Bestlite lights, used famously by Winston Churchill, English dresser and wonderful cast iron radiators are complemented by contemporary English colour schemes and local artwork throughout.
An open-plan handmade kitchen with spacious dining table and all mod cons, including range master oven and superb coffee maker; opens out to a small outside courtyard with bistro table and chairs for your morning coffee in the sunshine. The living room area is calm and comfortable whilst the small wood burner will warm the room on those frosty nights.
Two gorgeous bedrooms with luxury duvets and linen on the first floor will sleep up to 4 adults, whilst pull out beds can accommodate another 2 children if needed. A beautifully designed bathroom with roll-top bath and large separate rainfall shower is shared between the two bedrooms.
Blackbird Cottage is within a 5 minute walk of Winchester cathedral and is well located for walking to all that Winchester has to offer.
1 Pet welcome. There is one parking permit available to guests.
The 2 pull out beds in bedroom 2 are trundle beds, please note there is limited space when both beds are pulled out. These beds are suitable for 2 children or 1 adult due to the set up.
Please be aware there is a security camera at the rear entrance to the property. It is mounted on the exterior of the house and views the rear terrace and the gate.
