Nearby is the 12th-century Framlingham Castle, surrounded by parkland and a lake. It is a natural dog friendly haven for wildlife and popular with walkers. There is lots to do nearby including cycling, walking, golf, fishing and bird watching. Suffolk’s Heritage Coast is a 30 minute drive away. Aldeburgh, with its sand and shingle beach that backs on to the pretty seaside town with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants is 15 miles away. Southwold with its pier, sand and shingle beach and promenade which runs along the front of the town, is 20 miles away. Further inland is Easton Farm Park, a must for families, with an outdoor adventure area, animal meet and feed, beautiful walks and lots of nature to see including barn owls, kingfishers and otters, is 4 miles.
