Cob Cottage is a charming two-bedroom holiday home located in the pretty Devonshire village of Drewsteignton, on the northern side of Dartmoor National Park. Showcasing many original features throughout such as the wooden beams, solid wood floors and exposed stone, this Grade II listed property offers the perfect quintessential rural stay for a family or a group of friends.
As you enter the cottage, you will instantly feel at home in the living room with its lovely artwork, plush seating, Smart TV with Freeview and the cosy wood burner. The rustic dining room, with its wood panelling and red quarry tiles, offers the perfect space to enjoy a homecooked meal, and the stylish kitchen is well-equipped with everything you may need. TThe kitchen leads out to a pretty courtyard garden which is fully enclosed with outdoor seating and a handy shed where guests can store bicycles. On warm summer nights, enjoy alfresco dining or a cold glass of wine here. The ground floor is completed with the impressive contemporary family bathroom which is fitted with a separate freestanding claw-foot bath tub and a double walk-in shower, offering the choice of a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. Head upstairs to discover the two beautiful bedrooms which are each furnished with a double bed, high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and classic cottage furnishings.
Cob Cottage is a stone’s throw away from Drewsteignton village square, with its local shop. There’s a restaurant 2 minutes’ walk away, a farm shop under a mile, and two traditional pubs 1 mile away for dining out and well-earned drinks after the day’s adventures. The National Trust’s Castle Drogo is also nearby to explore a medieval-style country home, whilst walkers will find their paradise in the Dartmoor National Park with beautiful views from Sharp Tor and Hunter’s Tor. The towns of Chagford with its outdoor swimming pool, Okehampton hosting the Museum of Dartmoor Life and the medieval ruins of Okehampton Castle, and Moretonhampstead with its popular Motor Museum are all within easy reach.
