We love that this basement apartment used to be the servants quarters for the main house, a point you’ll struggle to believe when you see the standard on offer for guests.. A beautiful lower ground floor flat in one of Edinburgh’s finer suburbs, Newington with its own private entrance separate from the main house. Less than 30 minutes walk from the old town, with regular buses, this apartment is the ideal home away from home for a small family or small group of friends visiting Edinburgh.
There are two spacious bedrooms, both fitted as doubles, and there is a travel cot and highchair in the property should guests have any tiny travel companions. The main living room is perfect for kicking back and relaxing after a day’s exploration of the Capital City, the comfy sofa and armchairs are perfectly placed to enjoy each others company and in case you run out of chat then you’ll find the large Smart TV a welcome distraction. The kitchen has all the appliances needed and in addition has glassware, crockery and the utensils required to make and enjoy hearty feasts - unless you spend your mealtimes eating out or ordering in, in which case the kitchen also has a lovely table and chairs to enjoy said delicacies. The bathroom has a bath suite with a mains fitted over bath shower so no one will be left showering in cold water.. All on the Lower Ground Floor:

There is a bus stop opposite the flat which will take you quickly into the city centre or to the tram (tram stop is on Princes Street) to take you to the airport. Look for buses 37, 31,3,8 or 29. We strongly suggest not arriving by car as there is no parking available. The on road parking is very expensive and you would need to move the car every few hours.
