There are steps to the verandah and access to a deep unfenced river from the garden. . Sitting right on the water’s edge this lovely detached lodge is perfect for relaxing and watching the world go by. Comfortably furnished throughout with a well-equipped kitchen, the living room overlooks the river at Brundall and opens onto a pretty decked area with garden, ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun. This peaceful location has the benefit of a private quay headed mooring for a motor launch (available for hire by prior arrangement), and is also perfect for river fishing. Brundall is a centre for boat building and boat hire, and has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, fine restaurant and local pubs all serving good food.
Great Yarmouth is easily accessible by car or train, as are the surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, with Norfolk’s sandy beaches 12 miles away. The city of Norwich is 8 miles away with excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum.
For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens and close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. Shops 1 mile, pubs and restaurant ½ mile.
There is an electric car charger at the property for use by arrangement with Jne (the caretaker) at a cost of £50 payable to Jane during holiday or via bank transfer prior to stay. NB Please not mobile signal is restricted in this area and there is no wifi service available at the property. There is wifi within The Yare Public House.
