A lovely detached studio chalet located 20 miles or so from Widemouth Bay on the Cornish coastline, with Dartmoor National Park to the south, just 12 miles away.. All on the ground floor.

The chalet is all on one level and offers comfortable and contemporary studio accommodation for two comprising living, dining and sleeping areas with a kingsize bed and a separate shower room. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for your stay including a Nespresso coffee machine, and if you like tickling the ivories then help yourself to the lovely piano. There is also a Bluetooth speaker and a DVD player.
Outside there are well-maintained and presented grounds including a wildlife pond, private lawn areas with seating and spaces to enjoy the lovely surroundings while you have some al-fresco dining or a peaceful evening drink. The owners are happy for guests to wander around the paddocks too and to enjoy their fascinating alpacas on show – they love a camera! There is also a handy open-sided shed perfect for storing your bikes, surf boards and hanging wetsuits. And with parking for two cars, this property is the perfect holiday hideaway! For the fishing enthusiasts, Legge Farm coarse fishery is down the lane, and yoga and relaxation classes can be arranged too. Locally you will also find an archery centre, horse riding and the famous Warhorse Museum.
The village of Hatherleigh is just 10 minutes away by car, where there are two pubs, fish and chip shop, supermarket and post office. This part of rural Devon is known as Ruby Country, ideal for walkers and countryside lovers, and is also within easy reach of the Tarka Trail which offers spectacular off-road walking and cycling. Further afield, the stunning coastline offers plenty of beaches, ideal for surfing, swimming and rock pool gazing. The coastal towns of Bude, Clovelly, Bideford and Westward Ho! are all within 35-50 minutes by car, where you will find traditional seaside activities, surfing and the South West Coastal Path.
The pretty fishing villages of Padstow and Port Isaac, made famous by ’Doc Martin’, the hit TV series, are well worth a visit, as is mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle. A shorter drive south takes you to the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park where you can have a delightful pub lunch in the village of Belstone or take a walk on the moors and see Dartmoor ponies. Stunning Exmoor with its amazing night skies, Bodmin Moor, RHS Rosemoor at Great Torrington, several National Trust properties and a good variety of visitor attractions are all within easy reach too. This quiet spot in Devon offers a host of opportunities for relaxation and discovery at any time of the year.
