The cottage is situated in a quiet street close to the River Dee within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. This is an ideal location for anyone looking to visit the highlands with cycling, hill walking, golf, skiing and fishing all close by. You can visit the Royal Highland summer residence of Balmoral, taste the whisky at the local distillery and enjoy the magnificent scenery surrounding this delightful town. The property has off-road parking for two cars. The front door leads to a small entrance hall. The downstairs offers an open-plan living, dining, kitchen area, great for socialising and enjoying time with family and friends. A large corner sofa, TV and WiFi ensure this is a great place to relax. The newly fitted kitchen has everything you need with a double oven and combi oven, electric hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. A well-placed dining table offers a place for everyone to enjoy a family meal, play a game or two or chat about the day's events over a refreshing drink. The Victorian town of Ballater has been a popular tourist location since Queen Victoria first visited, the old station has recently been renovated to house the local Tourist Information Centre plus a delightful tearoom. With the whisky trail and castle trail also on your doorstep you will never be short of something to do. Take a drive up Glen Shee for some breath-taking scenic views, try a 4X4 Safari and discover red deer, plus a host of wild birds and wildlife native to these mountains. In the winter months skiing and snow-boarding is a popular outdoor sport with two ski resorts Glen Shee and Lecht close by.
