The Cottage is situated on the renowned North Coast 500 route, arguably one of the most scenic road trips, encompassing wild countryside, spectacular coastlines, numerous villages, small towns and historic places of interest along the way. There is an abundance of things to see nearby, including ancient castles, archaeological sites and places of interest all within a short drive.
For wildlife enthusiasts there are puffins, cormorants, seals, dolphins, whales, deer and pine marten all seen in the region.
